For a very critical reason, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all future :+fav:ers and :+devwatch:ers of my works. :D :D :D

Here's the other half of my entry to :iconfakemon-creators:'s rivalry contest: Coyotrick, the Prank Fakemon!

Coyotrick is obviously based on the desert coyote in the cartoon duo "Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner," which is the theme for my rival contest entry. It was easy assigning types to Coyotrick, as Wily E. Coyote is a roadrunner-preying desert coyote with a cunning mastery in the art of setting up traps – an easy call for the Ground/Dark typing. ;)

Coyotricks and Runrowders have a longwithstanding history of predator-prey relationship, a rivalry that settles midway that of Zangoose-Seviper and Heatmor-Durant. When a Coyotrick is seen running in the desert, there is a huge chance that a flock of Runrowders is lying around. Coyotricks often change the desert landscape by setting up traps prior to chasing its prey. Sadly, like its cartoon counterpart Wile E. Coyote, Coyotricks often fall victim to their own traps. But Coyotrick is not one to give up just yet, hence an endless chase of this witty predator for its speedy prey, just like in the Looney Tunes cartoon. Oh, by the way, unlike any of the existing Pokémon rivals, Runrowder and Coyotrick actually share a primary type — Ground, as tribute to the desert scenery of the cartoon. :P

Coyotrick shares the same base stat total with Runrowder. It seems to be a strict rule that Pokémon rivals share the same total [like Seviper and Zangoose with 458, and Heatmor and Durant with 484]. Also, the rivalling duos are the only ones to have such total, and I'm just following that with an exclusive 486 for my rival Fakemons. Coyotrick is offensive, and that's that, sadly. Its 110 Attack and 90 Special Attack is inspired by Houndoom, I just switched values. Mightyena's influences are reflected on Coyotrick's 70 HP and 70 Speed. Lastly, its defensive stats are also shared with Runrowder, with 73 each on Defense and Special Defense.

Coyotrick's movepool is influenced mostly by Dark-types, with the original Ground/Dark Krookodile sharing the most moves: Torment [since Wile E. Coyote torments Road Runner's simple life], Mud-Slap, Dig [those painted caves and holes in the cartoon :P], Sandstorm, Earthquake, and Foul Play. Zoroark gives Coyotrick more options for playing pranks: Scary Face [to contradict Runrowder's Speed and the move Agility], Taunt [works great with Torment], and Imprison. Bite and Crunch are good Dark-typed moves utilizing its fangs, which also allows it to use relearnable Elemental Fangs [Fire, Ice, Thunder] just like Hippowdon. Wile E. Coyote's classic 'falling rock' trap [and 'falling anvil' trap, to an extent] is translated into Coyotrick's Rock Slide and Stone Edge. The Dex entry states Nasty Plot, so that, too, is included. Snatch from Liepard is a witty way of increasing its stats in-battle. And finally, Coyotrick's starting moves are taken from the cartoon character: Bide for enduring being the victim of his own traps, Rage for not being able to capture Runrowder, and Sand-Attack because apparently, another Coyotrick bites the dust. :P

If Runrowder gets either Run Away or Big Pecks, Coyotrick can have either Quick Feet or Anger Point as regular Ability. As Wile E. Coyote often falls victim to his own traps [or Coyotrick gets a status ailment], in effect, he launches himself closer to Road Runner [Quick Feet] or gets angrier and angrier [Anger Point]. Coyotrick's Dream World Ability is Prankster, a very encompassing characteristic of Wile E. Coyote. In battle, Coyotrick's non-damaging moves are given priority, similar to how Wile E. Coyote prepares traps prior to giving chase to Road Runner. :P

Coyotrick is obviously a Mixed Sweeper by stats, even though most of its moves are Physical. For strong, striaghtforward damage, just pick any of the following: Earthquake, Crunch or Foul Play, Rock Slide or Stone Edge, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, or Ice Fang [twice 'super effective' move against rival Runrowders]. Dark-types essentially learns a few Special-based moves, and in Coyotrick's case, it needs to do away with TMs for Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, Grass Knot, and Sludge Bomb to name a few. Also, Coyotrick can get STABbed Earth Power and Dark Pulse from breeding, as well as Extrasensory. Staying true to Wile E. Coyote's character, a Coyotrick running Prankster must have the Taunt-Torment combo in its arsenal. Nasty Plot can be used by a Special- or Mixed-Sweeping Coyotrick, while Snatch can take an opponent's stat boost, heal, or other status move in-battle. Oh, and breedable Stealth Rock and TM Roar combo, too, can shake the battle with proper prediction! ;) Coyotrick is frail, but it is good in playing mind games with the opponent with Mixed Sweeping and Afflicting moves. ;)

Coyotrick is mine!
Runrowder is also mine!
