Description

MAGHEXIAN, the Illusionist Pokémon. MAGHEXIAN is known to be a powerful caster of magic. Its tricks are complicated enough, they come off to be believable. MAGHEXIAN gains an extra layer of protective coat that, like an illusion, reflects indirect damage back to its enemy. It still uses the same starred hat-limb to cast spells.

Name Origin: MAGicIAN and HEX [to cast a spell over someone or something]
Type: Ghost / Psychic
Ability: Levitate
Evolution: Magwizian ---Dusk Stone---> Maghexian
Moves Learned: Gains only relearnable moves Aura Sphere and Magic Coat apart from the first four moves of Magwizian: Astonish, Teleport, Confusion, and Leer, plus the moves carried over from being a Magwizian; notable TM and tutor moves are of the Electric type, as Ghosts have an inclination to them

Base Stats:
HP: 60
ATK: 50
DEF: 70
SP ATK: 110
SP DEF: 110
SPD: 95
TOTAL: 495

For a very critical reason, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all future :+fav:ers and :+devwatch:ers of my works. :D :D :D

Like the pre-evo Magwizian, this Fakemon is the first to be submitted as :iconfawkestheskarmory: have guessed it correctly a little too early, lol. So, here's Post-Halloween 2010 Fakemon Silhouette #11, my Illusionist Fakemon, Maghexian!

Similar to my cute little Prank Fakemon, Maghexian is based on wizards, magicians, and Mismagius this time. From the stats, the moves, even the Dusk Stone evolution and the Levitate Ability, my Illusionist Fakemon is indeed a more masculine counterpart to the Magical Pokémon. It has the same unique charasteristics as Magwizian, from the star-tipped hat that acts as its limb, the wizard-witch hat, the gem, and the coated body. Maghexian however has an extra coat with the edges seemingly torn, as well as a collar. :P Its shiny version can be compared to leprechauns, mainly due to the presence of the dark, thick bands on its hat and outer coat. The reference, however, was not intentional, as I was only following Mismagius' shiny colors. :D

On a side note, Maghexian's -hex- reference actually originated from the series Supernatural [yes, the one with Sam and Dean Winchester]. For non-fans, the series protagonists battle supernatural creatures with knowledge and guns and some other stuff. One of those 'other stuff' is a hex bag, "a charm composed of a mixture of herbs, talismans, [and] other supernatural ingredients placed in a piece of cloth and bound with leather," according to Supernatural Wiki. Depending on the ingredients, a hex bag can save as well as harm, through mystical means. And that is what I envision in Maghexian's concept: a malicious Ghost-type as well as a saving Psychic-type [well, most of them anyway]. :P

Being Mismagius' counterpart, Maghexian only gets relearnable moves as well. For Mismagius' Magical Leaf, Maghexian gets an Aura Sphere. The Special Fighting-type move is a form of offense to the Dark type, which deals four times the damage to Maghexian, being iteslf Ghost/Psychic [Ghost-types, too, are a double weakness, but Maghexian is already a Ghost-type itself]. Also, Aura Sphere appears to be masculine as Magical Leaf is feminine to me, lol. And for Mismagius' Status move Lucky Chant, Maghexian can relearn Magic Coat, a very fitting move for its anatomical design — an additional coat underneath its normal coat. This is mentioned in Maghexian's Dex entry: "an extra layer of protective coat that, like an illusion, reflects indirect damage back to its enemy." You can also check Magwizian's description for its learned moves for references to real world magicians' abilities. ;)

On to stats. Maghexian has the same 495 stat total as Mismagius, of course, but with slight modifications, similar to their basic stages. Mismagius has 60 points each in HP, Attack, and Defense [which is exactly the same as Misdreavus' stats, meaning there was no growth on those stats upon evolution]; and it has 105 points each in Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. Maghexian only copies the 60 HP. Maghexian transfers 10 points from Attack to Defense, giving it 50 and 70 on those stats, respectively [and just the same, those stats didn't increase from Magwizian's]. It's a masculine version of Mismagius, so it has to be bulky, right? This holds true, too, in its Special stats. Sacrificing 10 points from Mismagius' Speed, Maghexian gains five points on each of its Special stats, giving it superior 110 each on Special Attack and Special Defense. And as a result, its Speed drops to 95, which is still a good amount. :P

Maghexian is trapped in Mismagius' shadow, that it is also expected to be a Special Sweeper. What differs it from Mismagius is that while the Magical Pokémon traps with Mean Look and uses Perish Song to win, my Illusionist preferes complicated methods [as stated in its Dex entry]: using a Substitute for battle, the Hypnosis-Dream Eater combo, Magic Coat to return indirect damage and status ailments, Future Sight for postponed damage, and even an unpredictable Metronome! You can still go straightforward with Psychic, Shadow Ball, Power Gem, and Aura Sphere, though. Also, Ghost-types are known to have Electric inclination, so use Thunderbolt, too, for neutral damage. Just remember, Maghexian still has low Defense like Mismagius, and being Ghost/Psychic, it is doubly weak against Ghost- and Dark-types, so avoid those Ghost and Dark Physical moves and your Maghexian will be fine! ;)

Maghexian is mine!

I made a fakemon similar to this but it's a bird instead of.... that. Sweating a little...
Also it's Dark/Flying instead of Ghost/Psychic
It's still cool
