For a very critical reason, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all future :+fav:ers and :+devwatch:ers of my works. :D :D :D

My first generic bird Eaglede was not made to be of the Dark type, although it does have Dark tendencies as its Fakemon line is loosely based on Zorro, a masked outlaw fighting against tyrannical officials and other villains. Though rather cunning, my Eaglet Fakemon is noble and loyal. That's why I came up with a second line of generic birds, this time with really Dark interests, starting off with a cute but rather mischievous Scampie! :P

Scampie [the -pie there sounds more like the food 'pie' than '-peeee'] is based on [1] kleptoparasitic birds or birds that steal like frigatebirds, skuas, and jaegers, or seabirds in general, [2] on magpies, and [3] on black-and-white prison outfit. Its Dark/Flying typing can be likened to an escaped prisoner, too. Also, having only two stages in its evolution line, Scampie is equivalent to Spearow, Hoothoot, Taillow, and Wingull. This time around, with three factors to guess my Post-Halloween 2010 Fakemon Silhouette #15, both :iconsnappy-k: and :iconfawkestheskarmory: are to be congratulated! Good job!

I just want to insert this here! I love the inverted black and white I did on the shiny versus regular version of Scampie! I have kinda outdone myself here! Lol! :D :P

Scampie's being a Dark-type is pretty much straightforward. It took this characteristic from Wingull, which is NOT Normal/Flying, unlike the other three, two-staged generic birds. Going back, most of Scampie's Dark-typed moves are those which puts the enemy at a disadvantage: Knock Off prevents the opponent from using a held item; Thief steals the opponent's item; Pursuit deals twice the damage to switching foes; Snatch steals healing or status-changing effects of the opponent's move; and Payback is just a nasty way of retaliation with twice the power. Scampie's bird origins, too, is up-front: Peck and Drill Peck uses its strong beak; Wing Attack puts its wings to use [obviously :P]; Roost is exclusive to those that can fly; and Quick Attack, Agility, and Aerial Ace all seem fitting to a sleek bird with nasty motives. Oh, and Growl and Leer are there to aid in battle. :)

Scampie's stats, too, are reflections of the generic birds, its stat total the same as Spearows' and Hoothoot's 262, eight points less than Taillow's or Wingull's 270. Scampie's stats closely resembles Spearow's than the other three, so I will compare stats only with it. Scampie has 29 on both defenses, while Spearow has 30 Defense and 31 Special Defense [ugh, just one point difference? :|]. Scampie's 45 HP is five points more than Spearow's, while its useless 19 Special Attack is a far cry from Spearow's 31. Scampie is more Physically offensive with 75 Attack than Spearow's 60, but it is five points slower at 65 Speed than Spearow's 70.

Even though they share the same types, Scampie is no Murkrow, be it stat-wise or move-wise. Though the Darkness Pokémon have great moves that utilizes both offensive stats, my Scampie is an all-out thief that's why it gave up its Special Attack for a whopping Attack. But hey, it is a generic Fakemon unlike the mid-game Murkrow, so Scampierarely see the light of competitive battling. Hopefully though, with establishing such low expectations, Scampie can live up to them, especially since it has a useful Pickup Ability that it maintains even after evolution. Frisk, too, is a useful Ability to check the opponent's item at the start of battle, so that you will know whether Scampie should use Knock Off or Thief for it. On a final note, I like how I was able to connect everything to Scampie's being a thief-in-training. It's like a really solid idea and a well-thought-of Fakemon, IMO. :P :D

Scampie is mine!
Eaglede is also mine!

May I use some of your Fakemon for a game I am making?
